Background

Born to a Midgardian father and an Ayothayan mother, Benedict spent many years traveling around the country of Midgard and Schwarzwald with his family before being sent to train as an Acolyte with the priestdom in Prontera. Though extremely anti-Odin in sentiment thanks to a resentment bred due to his family being one of the eight names left in the Church of Hel, he managed to get along fairly well in Prontera, without incident.

As a teen, however, his dislike for the church coupled with teenage angst sent him on a completely different path - contrary to what both of his parents desired of him (that he hone his skills as a healer by attending the medical schools in Schwarzwald for a more 'atheistic' approach to his medicine) he retreated to the monestary in St. Catapolina Abbey and began a life where he didn't have to always answer to a Odin or his parents, either. There, Benedict began to grow as a person - even with the addition of a feud with a fellow Monk, Vera.

Vera and Benedict did not like each other.

At all.

In the slightest.

Finally, the feuding became ridiculous - eventually leading to the two having a showdown that would put an end to their childish bickering. Vera, on a good punch to the eye, took his right eye out of comission entirely. Out of guilt Vera took care of Bene for the weeks that followed while he slowly lost sight in his right eye, finally leading to it's entire blinding. Luckily he still had his left - but through this time of recovery he and Vera got close, very close. Eventually, they determined they were in love.

Leaving the monastery for Hugel, they first introduced Bene to Vera's parents. What a charming boy! So well mannered! So sweet, and what lovely hair! They said.

Then, they introduced Vera to Bene's parents. Though his mother hated her, his father thought they were precious.

Then, the subject of sex came up. What? Though they could go back to their monkly ways, they'd broken the vow of celibacy together! This obviously meant they HAD to get married, and though the idea that they were in LOVE love forever FOREVER? Forever ever? Forever ever ever? (Outkast moment!) But to appease their parents and because IT SEEMED LIKE A GOOD IDEA AT THE TIME the two got married.

It was a bad idea.

A very.

Very bad idea.

The two hate each other. Truly, thoroughly. When they are not at each other's throats, they are in another's bed - Bene was first, followed by Vera. Now, they barely stand each other. Hugel is not such a nice place, after all.

There's a reason he's named this.

He doesn't have a lot of tolerance for honesty for honesty only takes you so far, but he certainly doesn't think about lying every damn second of every day. Muchly, he likes to keep changing because sitting still means he actually has to look at himself - and looking at himself is something Benedict does not know how to do. You might say he is constantly in an identity crises - a fluctuation character, he's a gemini at heart, two-faced, and often is backtalking you the second he's smiling.

However, he comes off as gregarious enough, and isn't a horrible person all through-out - just a little mischievious.
